sorry
I haven't been on the Internet quite as often this week due to numerous reasons. For that reason, I'll summarize and update my entire week (from January 10) in this post.
Tuesday and Wednesday were spent on my English Culminating Activity which involved filming a mock reality show that conveys messages and themes discussed during the English Unit. My group actually spent 2 hours filming the play at Brookbanks Library. The product has been finalized and tomorrow, it will be viewed by our classmates.
I revamped my code so that the user interface is more sophisticated and professional. Instead of having the user press keyboard characters to select and perform tasks, I can now have users select their options with a click of a mouse. I encountered many errors along the way and I will definitely include them in my Testing Report! The Testing Report is almost complete, but the flowchart and user manual are not. I started on a flowchart with Gliffy, suggested by Mr. Arkin a couple of days ago, but I deleted my progress because I completely changed the flow of logic in my code. The flowchart will only take 30 minutes to complete, so it will not be as big of a deal as the summary/advertisement/teaser and user manual!!!
I plan on creating an advertisement (or summary because I'm not sure yet!) and the user manual over the weekend (including tomorrow!). The user manual will be based off of a video game's (such as Call of Duty, Black Ops, Mario Kart, etc) manual and will not take long to create (2-3 hours approximately). Tomorrow in class, I hope to add the actual playing portion of the game into my code because for the past 3 days, I have created a pseudo-code which uses procedures to make the code easier to read and problems easier to identify and solve. The entire code for my user interface is 400+ lines, but the actual part of the code which is executed is 33 lines, so in the end, I might just add an include ... and the user interface will only be 33 lines long!
Today, my dad just informed/registered/confirmed me of another snowboard trip. This time, we're going to Lake Placid during the first weekend of February. A week removed from this trip, we're going to Mont Tremblant!!! Both trips last the whole weekend and on both occasions, I'll be waking up on Monday/Tuesday very tired, but it's the start of the new semester so the teachers will not be mad (yet!!!). Also, I just received confirmation as I was typing the above sentence that my Theory Classes begin tomorrow (again!).
I thought my break would have been longer, but all of my extra-curriculars have taken me by full-storm and if I don't hang on tight enough, I'll be blown away with the final exams!!!
That's all for today.
