ahh...

Polonaise in A Flat Major (Heroic) op. 53 by Frederich Chopin sounds amazing...

Currently, I am listening to musical excerpts from specific pieces in which I have to study for my music exam. Listening to Classical and Romantic music is an extraordinary blessing that should not be abused by listening to Hip Hop, Rap, etc, consistently. Sadly, I do not have the guts to create a playlist from Youtube featuring the all-time favourites from the Classical and Romantic eras because I would be severely critisized by my friends and that I do not work as efficiently when music is played, so I avoid Studio 218 as much as possible!

Anyways, today I stayed at school until 12 o'clock, when I had to leave for York Mills C.I. for a swim meet. I raced in 100m breaststroke, 50m freestyle, and 200m freestyle relay. Surprisingly, I came third in my heat for every event, which isn't too bad considering that everyone I faced was a Grade 10 and that I always lost to the first place finisher by 2 or less secondss. For the relay, I swam as anchor (oh dear, probably because I was the fastest swimmer in my relay team) and gave up a half-body lead over the York Mills swimmer and finished at the exact same time (he was a 10th Grader)...

I missed today's ICS class, but I had my friend Yaasir fill me in on what we learned today. Based on his information, today in class, everyone learned about procedures. I spent an hour at home today to tutor myself and catch up (consequence of joining sport teams...). I declared many simple functions and procedures that ran simple tasks just to orient myself with the new terms and their capabilities and how they operate. I made a new Turing File called "Functions and Procedures.t" and included (yes, I know how to use the keyword include) the file in my Substrings Assignment Question 9 and finished the required homework of creating the nextConsonant function.

Now that I have caught up, it's time for me to continue studying for my exam by listening to Debussy's L'apres-midi d'un faune (which I was listening to while I was posting).

It is such a beautiful and dreamy piece of music, but then again, what would you expect from Debussy?

Anyways, that's all for today!
